Deliver critical respiratory care in a professional healthcare environment, utilizing your expertise as a Respiratory Therapist. This contract opportunity requires skilled Registered Respiratory Therapists who are dedicated to providing exemplary patient care on evening and overnight shifts.
Schedule/Hours:
- 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
Qualifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials required
- Active, unencumbered license in the state
- Current BLS certification required
- NRP certification preferred
- Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical teams
- Experience in acute care or a hospital setting is highly desirable
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver all aspects of respiratory therapy care, including ventilator management, airway care, and oxygen therapy to patients of all ages
- Conduct respiratory assessments and monitor patient progress, responding promptly to changes in condition
- Accurately document all therapies, assessments, and interventions in patient records
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff regarding patient care plans
- Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations, providing life-saving interventions as needed
- Maintain, clean, and calibrate respiratory equipment to ensure optimal function and safety
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on respiratory care and treatments
