Bring your expertise as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist to a vital clinical setting, working collaboratively to deliver high-quality care across all hospital units. This is a contract opportunity for experienced respiratory therapy professionals who are dedicated to supporting patients with a variety of needs and thrive in a busy, technology-driven environment.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 36 or 48 hour contracts available
  • 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm start)
  • Weekend rotations every other weekend
  • Voluntary on-call scheduling

Qualifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) strongly preferred; CRTs considered with at least two years of experience
  • Minimum of two years’ experience required for CRTs and first-time travelers
  • Experience with Cerner or EPIC electronic medical records
  • Active BLS certification; ACLS/APLS preferred
  • Background in adult general and critical care respiratory therapy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive respiratory care for diverse patient populations throughout the hospital
  • Effectively operate ventilators (PB 840, PB 980, Drager VN500, LTV, Airvo) and related respiratory equipment
  • Manage respiratory therapy documentation and medication dispensing using Cerner EMR and Omnicell systems
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Float as needed to similar units or patient care areas based on facility demand
  • Participate in both classroom and on-unit orientation (24 hours each for new or returning staff)
