Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Proven ability to perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and interventions
  • Demonstrated proficiency with ventilator management, airway care, and respiratory diagnostic equipment
  • Strong communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Previous acute care or hospital experience preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality respiratory therapy to patients with a variety of cardiopulmonary conditions
  • Administer, monitor, and document therapeutic procedures including nebulizations, oxygen therapy, ventilator setup, and airway management
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and modify respiratory care plans based on changing patient needs
  • Perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, interpreting results to guide therapy
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and home care techniques
  • Ensure all equipment is operated, maintained, and cleaned according to infection control guidelines
  • Accurately maintain patient records and follow all regulatory documentation standards
