We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist, with a current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential, to provide exceptional care to patients as part of a dedicated staff. Qualifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Current, valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license
- Associate’s degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Previous clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist strongly preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments, including monitoring patient status and evaluating therapy effectiveness
- Administer therapeutic respiratory care procedures per physician orders
- Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and other respiratory equipment
- Participate in emergency response situations, providing airway management and resuscitation support as needed
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and equipment use
- Document patient care activities accurately in medical records
- Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards
