Qualifications:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Current, valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license
• Associate’s degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Previous clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist strongly preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments, including monitoring patient status and evaluating therapy effectiveness
• Administer therapeutic respiratory care procedures per physician orders
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and other respiratory equipment
• Participate in emergency response situations, providing airway management and resuscitation support as needed
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and equipment use
• Document patient care activities accurately in medical records
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards
