An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse skilled in Case Management and Risk Management to support patient safety and quality initiatives. This contract role is based in vibrant Long Beach, CA, offering a chance to apply clinical expertise in a dynamic acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and patient safety evaluations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Manage case reviews, analyze incidents, and develop actionable improvement plans.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations.
- Lead educational programs focused on risk reduction and patient safety improvement.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of risk management activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid RN license with clinical experience in case management.
- CPPS (Certified Professional in Patient Safety) or CPHRM (Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management) certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in acute care settings within Risk Management and/or Patient Safety departments.
- At least 1 year of acute care experience within a California hospital.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and patient safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
