Key Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing ABA principles in educational settings
  • Credentials or certification in ABA preferred
  • Prior work as a Behavior Specialist or in a similar role with school-age children
  • Strong understanding of behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data
  • Collaborative spirit with effective communication skills
  • Familiarity with strategies to promote inclusion and positive reinforcement

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans
  • Conduct behavioral assessments and work closely with teachers and support staff
  • Provide direct support and intervention for students requiring behavioral assistance
  • Train and coach school personnel on behavior management techniques
  • Track progress, document interventions, and adjust strategies as needed
  • Communicate with families regarding student progress and strategies
  • Foster a supportive, respectful environment that prioritizes student well-being
