Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Background in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) with relevant certification or credentials
- Previous experience as a Behavior Specialist or working in a similar capacity in schools
- Strong understanding of behavioral assessment tools and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, parents, and students
- Ability to develop individualized support plans and monitor progress
- Commitment to maintaining accurate, timely documentation
- Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and a passion for creating supportive learning environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans for students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess student behavior and set measurable goals
- Provide direct interventions and modeling for staff on effective behavior management techniques
- Deliver training and ongoing support for educators and staff to reinforce positive behavior strategies
- Collect and analyze behavioral data to inform decision-making and adjust plans as needed
- Participate in meetings, such as IEPs or team consultations, sharing professional input
- Engage families, sharing updates and strategies to support consistency across school and home
