This engaging, full-time (37.5 hours per week) opportunity places you at the heart of a dynamic school community near Middletown, DE. Bring your solid ABA background as you collaborate alongside school psychologists and staff, driving effective behavioral strategies—not delivering direct student care, but empowering educators and classmates alike.

Ideal candidates will leverage their skills as an assistant or apprentice to a BCBA, delivering crucial building-level expertise. Expect to provide a wide range of support—training, consultation, and hands-on modeling of behavioral strategies—to enrich classroom environments from elementary through high school.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a closely related field
  • Valid Instructional Paraprofessional Permit with the Delaware Department of Education
  • Clear, confident understanding of ABA principles and practices
  • Proficiency conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and making data-driven decisions
  • Experience supporting behavioral students in special education (K-12) highly regarded
  • Strong ability to work independently, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks with ease
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with school psychologists to develop and implement behavioral interventions
  • Deliver training, consultation, and modeling for building-level staff
  • Support crisis intervention for students as needed
  • Conduct and document FBAs, build and oversee BIPs, and lead data collection efforts
  • Attend IEP meetings and work with parents, school psychologists, and BCBAs to ensure student needs are met
