A contract opportunity is now available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher holding an LBS1 endorsement along with Early Childhood certification. This full-time position offers the chance to work with a small caseload—less than ten students—ensuring you have the time and resources to deliver personalized support and instruction.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid LBS1 certification
- Early Childhood teaching certification required
- Experience or strong interest in working with neurodiverse student populations
- Collaborative approach with teachers, therapists, and families
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt instruction and create inclusive classroom environments
Role Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement individualized educational programs for students across K-8th grades
- Foster an engaging, supportive, and structured classroom environment
- Use evidence-based strategies to meet varied learning and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with general education staff to promote inclusion and student success
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, professional development sessions, and team collaborations
- Maintain thorough documentation and communication with families and staff
This position is a school-based contract role with a commitment of 40 hours per week. The schedule includes professional development from August 13th-17th to help you prepare and connect with your new colleagues before students arrive on August 18th. You'll be supported by a welcoming community devoted to the growth and well-being of both students and staff.
