Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), special education, psychology, or a related field
- Professional experience as a Behavior Specialist, preferably in a school-based setting
- Familiarity with the development and implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, staff, and families
- Ability to conduct functional behavioral assessments (FBA) and data collection
- Commitment to confidentiality, ethical standards, and continuous professional growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ behavioral and social-emotional needs using evidence-based methods
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to promote positive behaviors
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to provide strategies, guidance, and ongoing support
- Provide direct intervention services and monitor student progress
- Facilitate staff training on behavior management and positive support techniques
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with school and district policies
