Adaptive Physical Education Teacher

Soliant is seeking a dedicated Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher to support students in a school district in Texas for the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time opportunity is ideal for an educator who is passionate about helping students with disabilities develop motor skills, physical fitness, and confidence through individualized instruction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement adaptive physical education programs tailored to each student's IEP goals.
• Assess students' motor development, physical abilities, and functional skills.
• Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students with a variety of disabilities.
• Collaborate with special education teachers, therapists, administrators, and families to support student progress.
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations related to adaptive physical education services.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Education, Adaptive Physical Education, or a related field.
• Active Texas teaching certification with Physical Education endorsement required.
• Adaptive Physical Education certification or experience preferred.
• Previous school-based experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
