Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) | Anoka, Minnesota

This full-time contract role extends through the entire school year, working with students who benefit from modified physical education programs. The ideal candidate has a passion for creating inclusive and accessible activities, tailoring lessons to individual abilities, and fostering confidence in every child.

Who Should Apply:

• Licensed in Developmental/Adaptive Physical Education
• Skilled in adapting PE curriculum to meet diverse needs
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with general educators, therapists, and parents
• Positive communicator who can motivate and encourage students
• Experience with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) is a plus

Your Day-to-Day:

• Design and implement adaptive PE lessons for a range of student abilities
• Use assessment tools to determine individual needs and monitor progress
• Collaborate with educators and specialists to integrate strategies
• Maintain up-to-date records and contribute to IEP meetings
• Promote safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environments
• Encourage participation, teamwork, and healthy behaviors
