Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) - Antioch, CA

This part-time consultative position is tailored for a dedicated Adaptive Physical Education Teacher seeking a rewarding role with a flexible arrangement. Enjoy a highly manageable caseload of only 2 or 3 students while supporting their physical development and inclusion in a virtual setting.

Your contributions will help students thrive through customized, accessible physical education, ensuring each child's unique needs are met. You’ll work just 2 hours per week in a consultative capacity, providing your specialized skills to students at both a high school and an elementary school—all from the comfort of your preferred location.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid adaptive physical education teaching certification or comparable credential
• Previous or current experience working with children with diverse physical needs
• Confident providing services virtually using teletherapy platforms
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong organizational abilities and responsiveness to student goals

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver adaptive PE plans tailored to individual student needs
• Conduct ongoing assessments to track student progress
• Consult with school staff and caregivers to promote inclusive physical activity
• Maintain detailed documentation and report outcomes as required
• Participate in virtual IEP meetings or consultations with the educational team
