Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) - Arlington, Texas

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid certification/licensure to teach Adaptive Physical Education
• Demonstrated experience working with students requiring adapted PE services
• Strong communication skills and comfort with IEP processes
• Ability to travel to assigned campuses for in-person sessions and evaluations
• Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-person evaluations to assess student needs and abilities
• Provide adaptive physical education sessions on campus, tailoring instruction for each student’s requirements
• Attend IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings as needed
• Update and monitor student APE goals, documenting progress appropriately
• Collaborate with school staff and families to optimize student success in physical education
