Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active teaching certification in Physical Education, Adapted Physical Education, or a related specialty for K-12 or required grade bands.
• Experience designing and implementing individualized and group physical education lessons for students with disabilities.
• Familiarity with IEP processes and working collaboratively with special education teams, administrators, and families.
• Strong communication skills and a nurturing approach to motivating students.
• Adaptability to multiple grade levels and the ability to creatively modify activities for diverse learning needs.
• Passion for promoting inclusion, health, and physical literacy in a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, adapt, and deliver engaging physical education curriculum for students in grades K-12, focusing on skill development, fitness, and social interaction.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to support IEP goals and student success.
• Assess student progress, track outcomes, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
