Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Current teaching certification and endorsement in Adaptive Physical Education
• Experience working with students ranging from Kindergarten through 12th grade
• Strong understanding of diverse abilities and adaptive physical education strategies
• Skill in designing individualized education plans (IEPs) inclusive of physical activity goals
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills
• Passion for making physical education inclusive and engaging

Core Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement adaptive physical education lessons suited to a range of grade levels and abilities
• Assess individual student needs and abilities, adjusting curriculum as needed
• Work closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to maximize each student’s success
• Monitor progress and ensure programs are meeting both physical and educational objectives
• Foster a safe, supportive, and motivating environment for students of all backgrounds
• Document student achievements and collaborate in IEP meetings
