Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid certification or licensure in Adaptive Physical Education or Physical Education with an adaptive endorsement
• Experience designing and implementing individualized physical education programs for students with disabilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work closely with teachers, therapists, and families
• Understanding of IEP processes and ability to comply with federal and state requirements
• Creative approach to adapting activities and developing engaging lesson plans

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver adaptive PE lessons in alignment with IEP goals and district standards
• Assess students’ strengths and needs, track progress, and adjust instruction accordingly
• Integrate adaptive equipment and technology to maximize participation
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, physical therapists, and support staff for a team-based approach
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress and recommended activities for home
• Participate in IEP meetings and document services provided
