Seeking an enthusiastic Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher passionate about supporting student growth and inclusion in a diverse educational setting. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Adaptive Physical Education or related field
  • Valid teaching certification with an APE endorsement (or eligibility)
  • Previous experience teaching adaptive PE to children or adolescents preferred
  • Solid understanding of IEP processes and ability to adapt curriculum appropriately
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and parents

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized adaptive physical education lesson plans
  • Assess student abilities and progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
  • Create an inclusive, safe, and engaging physical activity environment for students with varied physical and developmental needs
  • Provide guidance and resources to school staff on adaptation strategies to promote student inclusion
