Adaptive PE Teacher in Corona, CA

Exciting opportunity for a dedicated Adaptive Physical Education (APE) professional to make a meaningful impact with K-12 students for the upcoming 26/27 school year! This full-time contract role is based in the vibrant Riverside County area and offers the chance to support and engage students across all grade levels in their physical education and adaptive movement journeys.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Adaptive Physical Education Teacher certification or credential (APE)
• Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting, especially those with diverse physical and learning needs
• Strong knowledge of adapted physical education standards, instructional strategies, and individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, administrators, and families
• Organizational skills to maintain accurate records and develop adaptive lesson plans

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, individually tailored physical education programs to students across K-12
• Assess student abilities and develop comprehensive adaptive PE plans in collaboration with IEP teams
• Implement engaging and safe activities that foster physical development, social interaction, and self-confidence
• Track and document student progress, adjusting instructional approach as needed
• Advocate for adaptive physical education and contribute positively to the school community
• Collaborate with other professionals and participate in IEP meetings
