Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) in Corona, CA

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid certification to teach Adaptive Physical Education in California
• Prior experience working with special education students across elementary and secondary grades
• Familiarity with developing and implementing IEP goals, conducting assessments, and tracking progress
• Strong organizational skills for managing multiple school assignments
• Confidence in attending and contributing to IEP meetings
• Flexibility and reliability for managing regular instruction and make-up minutes

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver adaptive physical education services to a small caseload (total of 6 students across three sites)
• Travel between Canyon View (San Dimas), Villa Esperanza (Pasadena), and Chino Spectrum (Chino Hills) as scheduled
• Plan and adapt physical activities that support IEP goals and encourage student participation
• Conduct assessments and expertly document student progress
• Collaborate with school teams and families to ensure effective, student-centered support
• Attend and provide insights during IEP meetings as required
