Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) - Dallas, Texas

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid certification as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher
• Experience conducting in-person evaluations for students with diverse physical needs
• Familiarity with the IEP process and a background in updating individualized APE goals
• Ability to deliver adaptive PE sessions tailored to varying ability levels
• Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Willingness to travel between assigned campuses within the Dallas and Fort Worth areas

Role Responsibilities:

• Complete comprehensive, in-person evaluations to assess students’ physical education strengths and areas for growth
• Provide targeted, adaptive PE sessions on campus as scheduled
• Attend IEP meetings when requested and contribute professional insights and updates for APE-related goals
• Regularly document progress, update APE goals, and communicate with school staff and families as needed
• Ensure compliance with all school district and legal guidelines related to adaptive physical education services
