This role supports learners across various campuses in a primarily itinerant setting, ensuring inclusive physical education for all. The assignment spans from August 11, 2026, to June 4, 2027, offering a 184-day academic year and a full 35-hour workweek. The position requires a dedicated and dynamic educator with a strong commitment to adaptive learning and student-centered instruction.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid California teaching credential required
  • Experience in adaptive or inclusive physical education preferred
  • Commitment to supporting students with disabilities and individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Ability to travel between school sites as needed
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver adaptive physical education curriculum tailored to individual student needs
  • Assess and track student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, aides, specialists, and families to support student development
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professionally to student planning
  • Advocate for an inclusive, supportive, and engaging physical education environment
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports in compliance with district and state requirements
