Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) in Daly City, CA

Make a meaningful impact as an Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher, working directly with students in a dynamic and supportive school environment. This full-time, onsite position spans the academic year from August 11, 2026, to June 4, 2027, and focuses on providing tailored physical education experiences to students with diverse needs. The role is itinerant, offering opportunities to engage across multiple sites and collaborate with a range of educators and support staff.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid California teaching credential (required)
• Prior experience as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher preferred
• Strong knowledge of adaptive physical education strategies and best practices
• Comfortable working itinerantly and adapting to various school site settings
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for promoting inclusion and physical activity for all students
• Organized, self-motivated, and collaborative

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized adaptive physical education plans for students with varying abilities
• Deliver engaging lessons that foster physical development, motor skills, and self-confidence
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with IEP requirements
• Travel between assigned school locations within the district
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team efforts
