Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) - Fontana, California

This contract opportunity involves working directly with students in primary and specialized settings, providing tailored physical education programs that make a real difference.

Bring your expertise to a rewarding environment where you’ll manage a manageable caseload of students—four at Canyon View (San Dimas), one at Villa Esperanza (Pasadena), and one at Chino Spectrum (Chino Hills). Your work will include conducting comprehensive assessments, participating in IEP meetings, and fulfilling both makeup and regular instructional minutes. This role is strictly onsite, ensuring meaningful face-to-face instruction and collaboration with students and educational teams.

What you bring:

• Valid California Adapted Physical Education (APE) Certification
• Experience designing and implementing adaptive PE plans for students with diverse needs
• Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and goal writing
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with staff, parents, and related service providers
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging physical education environment
• Availability to work 20 hours per week through May 2027

• Deliver individualized adaptive physical education at three non-public school sites
• Plan and implement instructional activities based on student abilities and goals
• Conduct and document assessments to guide instruction and goal setting
• Attend IEP meetings and contribute your expertise to multidisciplinary teams
• Track attendance, progress, and service minutes; manage makeup sessions as needed
