Key Qualifications:

• Valid teaching license or certification in Adaptive Physical Education (APE), Physical Education, or a related field
• Experience working with students in grades K-12, especially those with diverse learning needs and abilities
• Strong understanding of modifications and accommodations for physical activities
• Commitment to creating inclusive environments where all students can thrive
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and adapt physical education curriculum to meet the needs of students with varying abilities in grades K-12
• Assess student's abilities and create individualized goals and strategies for progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience
• Monitor student progress and adjust lesson plans as needed
• Promote health, fitness, and positive attitudes towards physical activity
• Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
