This opportunity involves providing Adaptive Physical Education (APE) services for Extended School Year (ESY) in a small K-12 district located in Piedmont, CA. The position is on-site and contract-based, running from June 8, 2026, to July 3, 2026, with a commitment of 6 hours per week (4 contact hours and 2 preparation hours). The role focuses on delivering summer compensatory services tailored to student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver adaptive physical education instruction aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) during ESY.
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to assess student progress and adjust instructional approaches accordingly.
  • Prepare lesson plans and materials to meet diverse physical education needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and outcomes.
  • Participate in team meetings to ensure continuity of services.

Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching license with an Adaptive Physical Education (APE) endorsement.
  • Prior experience working with K-12 students in adaptive physical education settings.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students with diverse physical and developmental needs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work alongside educational teams effectively.
