Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) - Garland, Texas

• Comfortable attending and contributing to IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings as required
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with school staff, students, and families

• Committed to fulfilling adaptive PE sessions in person on Dallas and Fort Worth campuses

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive in-person evaluations of student abilities and developing tailored adaptive physical education plans
• Delivering engaging adaptive PE sessions on campus, adapting activities to meet varied student abilities
• Attending IEP meetings as requested, and providing input on student performance, accommodations, and progress
• Creating and updating individualized APE goals, ensuring alignment with overall student education plans
• Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families to support student success and inclusion
• Maintaining accurate and timely records of services provided and progress achieved
