Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) - Grove City, Ohio

In this rewarding contract opportunity near Grove City, OH, you’ll make a meaningful difference as an Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher supporting students in a dynamic school environment. You’ll collaborate with school personnel to develop and implement tailored physical education programs, and ensure all students have access to activities designed for their unique needs.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification and appropriate APE endorsement (or in process)
• Experience or strong interest in working with students of diverse abilities
• Comprehensive understanding of adaptive PE strategies, assessments, and curriculum modifications
• Excellent communication skills for building relationships with students, families, and staff
• Creative problem-solver with a commitment to promoting student success and participation in physical activity
• Ability to gather, interpret, and utilize student data to inform instruction

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver adaptive physical education lessons meeting federal, state, and local requirements
• Assess students’ motor skills, functional capabilities, and needs to develop individualized plans
• Track student progress through data collection and regular reporting
• Work collaboratively with educators, therapists, and other school professionals to support student IEP goals
• Encourage and facilitate inclusive participation in all physical education activities
• Provide consultative support for school staff and insight to families as needed
