Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) | Hemet, California

A dynamic opportunity is available for an Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher to provide specialized physical education services in an elementary school setting. This contract position offers a leave coverage assignment from ASAP through March in Hemet, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized physical education programs tailored to students with diverse learning and physical needs.
• Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and parents to support students' physical development and participation.
• Conduct assessments to monitor progress and adapt activities accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of student performance and program effectiveness.
• Promote inclusive activities that encourage social interaction and physical fitness for all students.

Qualifications:

• Credential or certification in Adapted Physical Education or relevant teaching authorization.
• Experience working within elementary education environments.
• Strong knowledge of physical disabilities, developmental challenges, and adaptive techniques.
• Ability to engage and motivate students with special needs through creative and safe practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
