Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) in Holyoke, MA

This part-time onsite position involves supporting a diverse group of students who benefit from specialized PE services and consultative guidance across multiple campuses. Desired Skills & Experience:

• Active Adaptive PE certification/licensure (where applicable)
• Background working within school settings, particularly with middle school students
• Demonstrated experience supporting students with disabilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for consultative and direct services
• Strong organization, punctuality, and time management abilities
• Reliable transportation for travel between district sites
• Successful completion of drug screening and criminal background checks, including fingerprinting and CORI
• Commitment to timely communication and professional presence

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Deliver adaptive physical education instruction to middle school students across the district
• Collaborate with educators, case managers, and families to design and monitor individualized PE plans
• Offer consultative support to school staff, sharing strategies for inclusive physical education
• Maintain thorough records, progress notes, and feedback per school and district guidelines
• Travel to assigned school sites and manage a flexible, rotating schedule
• Uphold professional standards of communication, attendance, and accountability
