A part-time role is available for an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to support K-12 students in Irvine, CA. This position focuses on delivering tailored physical education programs that accommodate the diverse abilities of students, promoting fitness, motor skills development, and overall well-being within the school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized adaptive physical education plans that meet the unique needs of students with physical, cognitive, or developmental limitations.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure cohesive support for students.
  • Assess student progress and modify instructional methods to optimize engagement and improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and program outcomes.
  • Foster an inclusive and motivating environment that encourages all students to participate in physical activities safely and confidently.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Certification or licensure in Physical Education with a specialization or endorsement in Adaptive Physical Education.
  • Experience working with K-12 students with diverse physical and learning needs.
  • Strong understanding of adaptive physical education techniques, safety protocols, and individualized program development.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families.
  • Patience, creativity, and dedication to supporting student growth and inclusion.
