This full-time role begins as soon as possible and will continue through February, with the potential for extension. You will work with a caseload of approximately 10-15 students, providing specialized physical education and ensuring compliance with all reporting and assessment requirements.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid California teaching credential in Adaptive Physical Education
  • Experience working with K-12 students in diverse educational settings
  • Strong ability to develop, implement, and adapt physical education curricula for students with a range of abilities
  • Proven skill in writing thorough, legally defensible reports and conducting comprehensive assessments
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging adaptive physical education instruction to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Assess and identify individual student needs with precision and professionalism
  • Create tailored lesson plans to foster skill development, physical fitness, and confidence
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including special education staff and families, to support each student’s learning goals
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion of all required documentation and reports
