Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current teaching credential in Physical Education, with additional certification in Adapted Physical Education (APE) preferred
• Previous experience working as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher in school settings
• Proven ability to design and modify instructional strategies for students with diverse needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive learning atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and assess individualized adaptive physical education lesson plans
• Work cooperatively with general and special education teachers to integrate adaptive strategies
• Regularly assess student progress and adjust activities to meet evolving needs
• Provide guidance on adaptive equipment and modifications for students and classrooms
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with school policy and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise on physical adaptations for students
