Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) | Metairie, Louisiana

What We're Looking For:

• Adaptive Physical Education certification preferred; minimum PE teacher certification required
• Experience working with students with diverse needs in school settings is strongly desired
• Proven ability to organize and prioritize service delivery across multiple locations
• Reliable transportation, with willingness and ability to travel between campuses as assigned
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with teams, students, and families
• Commitment to completing district-mandated drug screening and fingerprinting requirements

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Providing physical education services to students with special needs across assigned schools
• Developing and implementing individualized adaptive PE programs tailored to each student’s goals
• Collaborating with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure continuity of care
• Maintaining accurate and timely records and reporting as directed by the district
• Adjusting schedule and service plan based on caseload and district priorities
