As an Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher, you will make a meaningful impact by delivering tailored physical education programs across 2-3 school sites. Your work will empower students of diverse abilities to participate actively and safely in physical education, fostering both skill development and confidence.

Start as soon as possible and join a team dedicated to student growth through the end of the school year. Full-time schedules are available (35 hours weekly), with options for part-time coverage—3 full days weekly—if mutually agreed upon.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active APE Certification preferred; Physical Education certification required at minimum
• Experience working with students with a range of abilities
• Reliable transportation to travel between assigned school campuses
• Strong organizational skills to manage itinerant services effectively
• Flexibility and adaptability to support changing district needs
• Must complete district-required drug screening and fingerprinting prior to start

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide adaptive physical education instruction tailored to individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with school staff, therapists, and families to support student progress
• Adjust teaching strategies to meet the varying needs of students across multiple campuses
• Maintain accurate records for student progress and program compliance
• Support inclusive practices within the physical education curriculum
