Desired Qualifications:

• Active Developmental/Adaptive Physical Education license required
• Previous experience teaching Adaptive Physical Education in a school setting highly valued
• Strong understanding of individual education plans (IEPs) and customized physical activity modification
• Ability to inspire, motivate, and connect with students of varying abilities and backgrounds
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement personalized physical education programs that support students’ individual needs and goals
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and therapists to develop and integrate adaptive activities
• Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, adjusting activities as needed to promote optimal participation and skill development
• Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere that celebrates each student’s achievements
• Maintain accurate records in line with school and state requirements
• Engage with families to keep them informed and involved in student progress and activities
