Desired Qualifications:

• Current teaching certification in Adaptive Physical Education or Physical Education with an APE endorsement
• Experience working with students across elementary, middle, and high school levels (grades K-12)
• Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ability to design instruction that meets unique physical and motor skill needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt lessons and equipment to ensure safe and engaging participation for all students

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement adaptive physical education curriculum for students in grades K-12
• Evaluate student abilities and progress through ongoing assessments and data collection
• Modify instruction and activities based on student abilities and IEP requirements
• Work closely with classroom teachers, therapists, and support staff to promote student success and social inclusion
• Facilitate a supportive, motivating, and safe environment where every student can thrive
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable input for goal setting and progress reporting
