A public school district in Piedmont, CA, is seeking a licensed Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to provide summer compensatory services for their small K-12 student population. This on-site contract position is perfect for an educator with expertise in APE looking to support students during the Extended School Year (ESY) program.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Adaptive Physical Education instruction and support to students in the district as part of summer compensatory services
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to ensure individualized student needs are met
  • Plan and prepare lessons that conform to students' individualized education program (IEP) goals
  • Provide accommodations and modifications to physical education activities for students with disabilities

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid teaching license with an Adaptive Physical Education (APE) endorsement required
  • Experience working in K-12 adaptive physical education preferred
  • Ability to deliver effective instruction during a limited summer program
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators and families

Position Details:

  • Location: Piedmont, CA (on-site)
  • Contract duration: June 8, 2026 – July 3, 2026
  • Hours: 6 hours per week (4 contact hours with students, 2 preparation hours)
