This contract opportunity places you at the heart of student success at three non-public schools, providing specialized instruction and support.

You’ll work onsite, serving multiple locations—San Dimas, Pasadena, and Chino Hills—tailoring adaptive curricula for a small, manageable caseload. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, facilitate IEP meetings, conduct assessments, and provide both makeup and regular instructional minutes. This role is ideal for educators well-versed in adaptive strategies who enjoy shaping accessible, impactful programs for students in need.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Certified APE Teacher with valid licensure for California
  • Experience in adaptive physical education within a school-based setting strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
  • Ability to adapt physical activities for students with varying needs and abilities
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Efficient at managing a flexible, multi-site schedule, traveling between schools as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging APE sessions for small groups and individuals
  • Write and implement IEPs in collaboration with school teams
  • Complete timely assessments and progress reports
  • Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Provide both makeup and regular instructional minutes as required by student plans
  • Maintain compliance with school and district policies
