Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) in Ontario, CA

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher, supporting students at three non-public schools in the greater Ontario, CA area. This position centers on building adaptive PE experiences that foster inclusion and help every student reach their potential. You'll work directly with a small caseload across multiple campuses, offering tailored instruction, expert assessments, and meaningful engagement with students, staff, and IEP teams.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Adaptive Physical Education Teaching Credential or eligibility for appropriate certification
• Experience delivering APE curriculum to K-12 students, preferably in non-public or special education settings
• Strong understanding of IEP development and data-driven instruction
• Skilled in conducting assessments, implementing individualized goals, and documenting student progress
• Effective communicator, both within IEP meetings and with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to travel between school sites as needed

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing adaptive physical education to students at Canyon View (San Dimas), Villa Esperanza (Pasadena), and Chino Spectrum (Chino Hills)
• Serving a focused caseload of six students, primarily at the San Dimas location
• Delivering both regular and makeup minutes to ensure compliance with IEP mandates
• Leading and participating in IEP meetings, collaborating with educators and families
• Conducting APE assessments and developing student-centered recommendations
• Maintaining thorough documentation and timely reporting

This is an onsite-only, part-time contract position with a consistent schedule (20 hours per week), beginning as soon as possible and continuing through May 2027.
