Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) in Osseo, MN

Step into a dynamic and rewarding contract position as a Developmental Adaptive Physical Education Teacher, working closely with students at the middle school level. Key Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota DAPE (Developmental Adapted Physical Education) license required
• Experience teaching Adaptive Physical Education in schools is highly preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Dedication to fostering inclusion and supporting students with varying physical and developmental needs
• Ability to travel between Northdale Middle School and Roosevelt Middle School as scheduled

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver adaptive physical education curriculum tailored to individual student needs
• Assess students’ progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Collaborate with special education staff, general education teachers, and families to set and review student goals
• Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings as needed
• Provide engaging, safe, and inclusive physical education experiences for all students
• Ensure compliance with all relevant educational standards and district guidelines

Position Details:

• Full-time (1.0 FTE); approximately 37.5 hours each week, Monday through Friday
• Contract term: September 3, 2026 – November 30, 2026
• Service two middle school campuses within the district
