Desired Skills & Experience:

• State certification/license as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher
• Demonstrated experience adapting physical education programs for diverse student needs
• Skilled in virtual instruction and consultative service delivery
• Familiarity with IEPs, progress monitoring, and specialized instructional strategies
• Effective communication with families and school teams
• Tech competence to facilitate live virtual meetings and student support

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide virtual adaptive physical education consults to a small caseload (2-3 students)
• Develop resources and strategies tailored to each student’s goals and abilities
• Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure appropriate integration of activities
• Document student progress, maintain compliance with IEPs, and contribute to planning meetings as required
• Offer insight and training for school staff as needed to promote student inclusion
