Exciting full-time opportunity now available for an experienced Adaptive Physical Education Teacher in a dynamic K–12 setting for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year! As an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher, you will design engaging, differentiated activities that empower students of all abilities to participate confidently in physical education. Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff, you'll tailor programs that meet each student’s unique needs, ensuring all learners thrive and reach their potential.

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

  • Valid teaching credential in Adaptive Physical Education (APE).
  • Demonstrated experience as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher in K–12 schools.
  • In-depth understanding of adaptive physical education methods and strategies.
  • Ability to develop and implement modified physical activity plans for students with diverse physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with school staff and families.
  • Adaptability, organizational skills, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver adaptive physical education lessons for elementary, middle, and high school levels.
  • Assess student abilities and create individualized instruction plans.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, therapists, and families to support student progress.
  • Modify activities, equipment, and environments for safe, successful participation.
  • Monitor growth and document student achievements; adjust strategies as needed.
  • Contribute insights to IEP meetings and help set realistic goals for each student.
