Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) | Riverside, California

Exciting new opportunity available for a skilled Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher in Riverside County! This full-time contract position serves K-12th grade students for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, making a rewarding impact on students of varying abilities. As an APE Teacher, you'll help create an inclusive, engaging environment focused on individualized physical education experiences designed to meet diverse student needs.

Qualifications & Experience Desired:

• Valid California teaching credential required with an APE specialization or endorsement
• Previous experience working with students across K-12th grade, ideally in adaptive physical education
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and the ability to develop, implement, and monitor goals
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and staff
• Ability to adapt curriculum, teach, and motivate students with varying physical, cognitive, and sensory needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized physical education programs tailored to students' unique abilities and IEP objectives
• Provide direct instruction and adapt activities to promote inclusion and participation
• Assess student abilities, progress, and make relevant updates to programming as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success
• Maintain accurate records, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings
