A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Adaptive Physical Education Teacher specializing in serving K-12 students. This role integrates expertise in special education and physical education to support students with diverse physical needs in a dynamic school setting located in Saint Paul, MN.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized physical education programs tailored to students with physical impairments.
- Collaborate with special education teams to create inclusive and effective educational plans.
- Assess student progress and adapt activities to ensure engagement and development.
- Maintain detailed records of student achievements and communicate regularly with families and staff.
- Support the physical and motor development of students across all grade levels (K-12).
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification as a Teacher of the Physically Impaired (TPI) or Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher in Minnesota.
- Experience managing a K-12 caseload within a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of adaptive physical education techniques and student-centered instructional strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams.
