A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Adaptive Physical Education Teacher specializing in serving K-12 students. This role integrates expertise in special education and physical education to support students with diverse physical needs in a dynamic school setting located in Saint Paul, MN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized physical education programs tailored to students with physical impairments.
  • Collaborate with special education teams to create inclusive and effective educational plans.
  • Assess student progress and adapt activities to ensure engagement and development.
  • Maintain detailed records of student achievements and communicate regularly with families and staff.
  • Support the physical and motor development of students across all grade levels (K-12).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Teacher of the Physically Impaired (TPI) or Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher in Minnesota.
  • Experience managing a K-12 caseload within a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of adaptive physical education techniques and student-centered instructional strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams.
  • Passion for fostering an inclusive physical education environment.
