Qualifications:

• Valid Developmental/Adaptive Physical Education teaching license required
• Experience providing adaptive PE instruction in a school setting is highly valued
• Demonstrated ability to modify activities and curriculum to meet the needs of students with diverse abilities
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and support teams
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive, and motivating learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement adaptive PE lessons tailored to individual student needs and IEP goals
• Foster participation and skill development in motor activities, teamwork, and fitness
• Closely monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Work collaboratively with special education staff, classroom teachers, and families
• Supervise and ensure safety of students during activities
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise as a valued team member
