This opportunity seeks an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher dedicated to supporting students with diverse physical and developmental needs across multiple grade levels (K-12). Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience teaching Adaptive Physical Education, preferably working with students in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and adaptive physical activity techniques
• Ability to develop tailored lesson plans that accommodate varied physical abilities and promote engagement
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Passion for promoting physical health, social skills, and confidence through movement and exercise

• This role is based in Saint Paul, MN

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and implement adaptive physical education curricula that meet state and federal guidelines
• Assess and monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs
• Collaborate with special education staff, therapists, and other educators to support holistic student growth
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and positive social interaction
• Provide training and guidance to staff and families on adaptive physical activity strategies as needed
