Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Adaptive Physical Education or closely related field
• Previous experience working with students with diverse physical and learning needs
• Comfortable adapting curriculum for multiple grade levels (elementary through high school)
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with staff and families
• Current knowledge of best practices in inclusive education and individualized instruction

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver creative, inclusive physical education lessons tailored to individual education plans (IEPs) and student needs
• Assess and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting on outcomes
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive support
• Foster an inclusive environment where every student can participate, progress, and thrive
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student achievements and goals
• Support a safe and engaging learning environment by implementing appropriate modifications and accommodations
