APE Teacher - San Bernardino, California

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher to make a meaningful difference with students from kindergarten through 12th grade for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year! Key Qualifications:

• Valid Adaptive Physical Education Teacher certification or credential, or eligibility to obtain
• Previous experience working with K-12 students with diverse physical and developmental needs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to create tailored PE activities and adapt curriculum to meet student IEP requirements
• Experience collaborating with general education and special education teams
• Solid organizational skills to manage multiple student caseloads and documentation

Role Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify student motor skills, abilities, and needs
• Develop and deliver adaptive PE lesson plans aligned with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, families, and support staff to promote student success
• Ensure a safe and inclusive physical activity environment for all participants
• Offer guidance, support, and encouragement in both group and one-on-one settings
