A K-12 district in Piedmont, CA is seeking a licensed Adaptive Physical Education Teacher for a summer extended school year (ESY) contract. This role focuses on providing specialized physical education services during the summer months to support students with unique needs in a small, supportive school environment.

- Duration: June 8, 2026 – July 3, 2026
- Hours: Approximately 6 hours per week (4 contact hours, 2 preparation hours)
- Caseload: Small K-12 district, delivering summer compensatory services

- License Requirement: Valid teaching license with Adaptive Physical Education (APE) endorsement
Responsibilities:
- Deliver adaptive physical education tailored to individual student needs in compliance with IEP objectives
- Plan and prepare lesson plans and activities that promote physical development and well-being
- Collaborate with school staff and families to ensure effective program delivery during the ESY period
- Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate documentation
Desired Qualifications:
- Current teaching license with APE endorsement
- Experience working with K-12 students with diverse physical abilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently within a structured ESY program schedule
