APE Teacher - San Francisco, California

A K-12 district in Piedmont, CA is seeking a licensed Adaptive Physical Education Teacher for a summer extended school year (ESY) contract. This role focuses on providing specialized physical education services during the summer months to support students with unique needs in a small, supportive school environment.

• Hours: Approximately 6 hours per week (4 contact hours, 2 preparation hours)

• License Requirement: Valid teaching license with Adaptive Physical Education (APE) endorsement

Responsibilities:

• Deliver adaptive physical education tailored to individual student needs in compliance with IEP objectives
• Plan and prepare lesson plans and activities that promote physical development and well-being
• Collaborate with school staff and families to ensure effective program delivery during the ESY period
• Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate documentation
