A school district in Piedmont, CA, is seeking an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to provide summer compensatory services for the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This on-site contract opportunity runs from June 8, 2026, through July 3, 2026, offering approximately 6 hours per week, including 4 contact hours and 2 prep hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Adaptive Physical Education instruction tailored to students with disabilities across grades K-12.
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans that align with students’ IEP goals.
- Monitor student progress and collaborate with special education teams to support student needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided during the ESY program.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching license with an Adaptive Physical Education (APE) endorsement is required.
- Experience working with K-12 students in an adaptive physical education setting.
- Ability to develop engaging activities that promote physical development and inclusion.
