A school district in Piedmont, CA, is seeking an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to provide summer compensatory services for the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This on-site contract opportunity runs from June 8, 2026, through July 3, 2026, offering approximately 6 hours per week, including 4 contact hours and 2 prep hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Adaptive Physical Education instruction tailored to students with disabilities across grades K-12.
  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans that align with students’ IEP goals.
  • Monitor student progress and collaborate with special education teams to support student needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided during the ESY program.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid teaching license with an Adaptive Physical Education (APE) endorsement is required.
  • Experience working with K-12 students in an adaptive physical education setting.
  • Ability to develop engaging activities that promote physical development and inclusion.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and administrators.
  • Willingness to work on-site throughout the summer program duration.

  • Position is based on-site in Piedmont, California.
