Audiologist School Audiologist - Converse, Texas

Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting students from preschool through high school as an on-site audiology professional. Your expertise will make a meaningful difference for about 50 students across cluster campuses, with a primary base at Mission Academy. This role allows you to provide crucial hearing diagnostics, fittings, troubleshooting, and collaborate closely with school staff, including the support of the district’s itinerant teachers.

Essential Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Audiology
• At least five years of experience working in school settings or an equivalent background
• ASHA certification*
• State licensure to fit and repair hearing aids and to practice audiology
• Successful completion of required examinations
• Ability to complete fingerprinting and background check per district requirements (*Applicants with ASHA certification are granted a waiver for certain state requirements.)

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations for PK-12 students, primarily based at Mission Academy
• Schedule and attend districtwide troubleshooting or service sessions as needed, including occasional visits to individual campuses
• Fit and repair hearing aids, ensuring proper function and comfort for students
• Collaborate with the campus coordinator and receive support as needed for case management
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all confidentiality standards

This contract offers 15–20 hours per week across 2–3 days, with flexibility in scheduling to support work–life balance. Your skills will ensure ongoing student access to vital audiological services and learning success.
