Make a meaningful difference supporting students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing through a rewarding contract opportunity as an Audiologist. This 12-week, onsite assignment (August 31, 2026 – November 24, 2026) will have you working closely with a dynamic team, helping to cover a maternity leave and deliver essential audiological services to students across a supportive district located near Detroit, MI.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or Master’s Degree in Audiology required
  • Valid Michigan Audiology License
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A)
  • Preferred: 3–5 years’ experience in pediatric and/or educational audiology

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments and educationally relevant evaluations for DHH students
  • Collaborate with clinical audiologists and ENT providers on DHH eligibility and Hearing Assistive Technology (HAT) clearances
  • Support families by providing follow-up guidance on clinical recommendations
  • Clearly interpret and communicate evaluation results to educators, families, and school personnel
  • Consult with teachers and families about the educational impact of hearing loss and strategies to promote learning
  • Engage with the Early On Team, servicing the birth-to-age-3 population, which may include occasional home visits

This position offers a steady, 35–37.5 hours/week schedule, providing the chance to build valuable experience in a collaborative educational setting. You’ll play an integral role in helping students access the support they need for academic and social thriving.
