Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students through a 12-week, onsite contract opportunity near Detroit. This assignment spans from August 31, 2026, through Thanksgiving break, covering a maternity leave and supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students throughout the district.

Key Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or Master’s Degree in Audiology required
  • Active Michigan Audiology License
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A)
  • Three to five years of experience in pediatric and/or educational audiology preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audiological assessments and educationally relevant DHH evaluations to determine auditory and communication skills
  • Collaborate with clinical audiologists and ENT providers, securing necessary medical documentation for eligibility and technology clearances
  • Assist families in following up on clinical recommendations
  • Clearly interpret results for teachers, school staff, and parents to help shape student support
  • Serve as a resource and consultant to school staff and families on the educational implications of hearing loss
  • Participate with the Early On Team, supporting the DHH birth-to-age-3 population, including making home visits as needed
  • Be an active partner in multidisciplinary evaluations and educational planning for students with hearing impairments
