In this unique role, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated school nurse, performing an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) for auditory processing. Your evaluation will support the school team in designing optimal learning strategies for their students. This assignment requires your skills for one evaluation before the end of September.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Audiologist license in Illinois required
- Experience performing auditory processing evaluations, especially in schools
- Comfortable working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
- Detail-oriented with great documentation and assessment skills
- Previous Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) experience is highly desirable
- Compassionate, personable, and professional approach to working with students and staff
Responsibilities:
- Conduct a comprehensive auditory processing evaluation for one student, onsite
- Collaborate with the school nurse and other educational professionals as needed
- Provide clear, thorough documentation and recommendations based on findings
- Complete and submit all evaluation reports within required timelines
- Adhere to all state and professional standards for ethical audiology practice
