Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited institution
- Valid and current state licensure as an Audiologist
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, educators, and families
- Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized plans, and contribute to educational teams
- Solid organizational skills and flexibility to manage a school caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hearing screenings and comprehensive audiological evaluations for students
- Interpret results and communicate findings to parents, educators, and student support staff
- Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations, assistive technology, and learning strategies
- Develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals related to auditory needs and participate in team meetings
- Fit, check, and troubleshoot hearing aids and FM systems
- Educate school personnel and families on hearing-related issues and best practices for inclusion
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Stay current with audiology practices and ongoing professional development
