Step into a meaningful role supporting students’ hearing health and communication needs! A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Audiologist to provide essential services to K-12 students in a supportive school environment beginning August 26th. This position is part-time, ranging from 0.5 to 0.7 FTE, and offers the chance to make a direct impact on students’ educational experiences.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Audiologist.
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of assessment, fitting of hearing devices, and auditory processing support.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and screenings for students suspected of having hearing impairments.
- Interpret audiological data and communicate results to staff and families.
- Develop and implement audiological management plans and recommendations.
- Fit and manage hearing aids, assistive listening devices, and FM systems as needed.
- Monitor and maintain student progress records and provide reports.
- Offer consultation and training to teachers and staff regarding classroom acoustics and amplification equipment.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute audiological expertise to student support teams.
