Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
• Current license to practice audiology in Alabama (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience working with pediatric and school-aged populations, preferably within K-12 settings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with staff, students, and parents
• Comfortable traveling between multiple school locations as part of your weekly routine
• Knowledgeable in hearing assessments, hearing aid fitting, and aural rehabilitation strategies

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct hearing screenings and assessments for students
• Interpret audiological testing results and share recommendations with IEP teams and staff
• Fit, program, and maintain hearing assistive technologies and devices
• Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
• Train educators and families on strategies to support students with hearing loss
• Maintain thorough documentation and uphold compliance with state and federal guidelines
