Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Current license to practice audiology in Alabama (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working with pediatric and school-aged populations, preferably within K-12 settings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with staff, students, and parents
- Comfortable traveling between multiple school locations as part of your weekly routine
- Knowledgeable in hearing assessments, hearing aid fitting, and aural rehabilitation strategies
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hearing screenings and assessments for students
- Interpret audiological testing results and share recommendations with IEP teams and staff
- Fit, program, and maintain hearing assistive technologies and devices
- Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
- Train educators and families on strategies to support students with hearing loss
- Maintain thorough documentation and uphold compliance with state and federal guidelines
